The difference between bad bedside manner and medical malpractice is one is actually a viable lawsuit and that’s the medical malpractice. Bad bedside manner is just a result of poor upbringing. You can’t sue someone just for being rude or for making you feel uncomfortable, but if because of their bad bedside manner they are not listening, they are not absorbing the information you’re giving, they’re not paying attention to what you were saying or what they are observing, and then they don’t act on readily available information, that would be medical malpractice.
