There are many examples of failure to diagnose medical malpractice case. One of the most common examples would be a failure to recognize and timely treat a stroke. So, for instance, there may be a patient who was sitting at home with their loved one. They started to experience some paralysis, some facial, drooping, slurred speech. They go to a crowded emergency room, and the nurses and the doctors fail to recognize that there is an ongoing or an evolving stroke. And in that situation, it is incredibly important that there be a timely intervention. We have handled many cases where we were able to prove that, had the stroke been diagnosed, that there was medications or surgical options that ultimately could have prevented the stroke from happening or at least significantly lessened the effects of that stroke.
