Broward General Medical Center is the largest hospital in Broward County, Florida. We’ve had many, many cases against Broward General specifically. We’ve had a number of birth trauma or birth-related injury cases against Broward General. We’re currently litigating, unfortunately, some fetal death cases against Broward General. We’ve had a number of shoulder dystocia cases against Broward General. Probably one of the worst cases involving Broward General was a young mother. She had three children and a condition called placenta accreta. When she went to deliver at Broward General, the physicians who were involved in her obstetric care failed to prepare for her placenta accreta. When she delivered her fourth child, she developed a massive and severe bleed, and unfortunately, they were not able to revive her. She passed away, leaving behind her husband and four children, including a newborn child that never got to meet her mother. That case actually went to verdict here in Broward County, Florida, and we received a $24.5 million verdict on behalf of the family, which again included the four children and the husband.
