Mercy Hospital is essentially in Coconut Grove, or Miami, Florida. They are owned by HCA, which is one of the largest hospital systems in the United States. Our firm, the lawyers of our firm, have had a number of cases against Mercy. We recently had a very severe shoulder dystocia case at Mercy Hospital where we had alleged that when the shoulder dystocia was encountered in a macrosomic baby, the nurses and the obstetricians failed to, and really didn’t, timely and adequately treat and deal with the shoulder dystocia when it occurred, which resulted in a very severe and permanent brachial plexus injury. And we’ve had a number of cases against Mercy. We’re very familiar with the hospital and certainly the lawyers that defend them.
